Position Purpose:
The Sr Manager Online Merch Solutions is responsible for leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of onboarding, training, and change management programs for the Brand Advocate team. This role serves as a strategic partner to merchandising, supplier, and cross-functional teams, ensuring Brand Advocates are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and processes needed to drive business results.
The Senior Manager will survey and assess the needs of Brand Advocates and suppliers, identify pain points and opportunities, and develop actionable plans to enhance the Brand Advocate program. This role requires a deep understanding of merchandising principles—including assortment, pricing, promotions, and fulfillment—as well as expertise in the full scope of Brand Advocate responsibilities, such as driving content excellence, developing actionable business insights for suppliers, and fostering collaborative supplier relationships.
The Senior Manager will also support broader Online Merchandising initiatives as needed, championing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- 60% Provide process management for monitoring progress and proactively identifying and communicating issues. Review project milestones, conduct post-mortem analysis and integrate new sources of data that support category objectives. Provide thought leadership to team and oversee development of executive-level presentations that summarize analysis and expected financial impact. Lead report out to all levels of management. Accountable for team accuracy, thoroughness, thought process, timeliness and viability.
- 20% Work with Managers and Sr. Analysts to develop and maintain processes and data content. Develop connections with cross-functional teams to further enhance analytical insight and viability of recommendations.
- 20% Leadership roles in strategic projects and Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position reports to the Director, Online Merchandising.
- This position has 0-8 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in merchandising principles (assortment, pricing, promotions, fulfillment) and a strong understanding of Brand Advocate responsibilities, including content optimization, insight development, and supplier engagement)
- Proven success in onboarding, training, or change management within retail, ecommerce, or supplier-facing teams
- Experience surveying and assessing team and supplier needs, and developing targeted plans to address gaps and opportunities
- Experience with process improvement, change management methodologies, and driving adoption of new tools or practices
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to develop and deliver compelling training materials and executive-level reports
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with internal and external partners
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
