Enrique
Kitchen Designer
For Enrique, success starts with two lessons that he learned through years of architecture and skilled trades work: solve problems and pay attention to detail. As a Kitchen Designer, these lessons guide the way he listens to customers, understands their goals, and helps bring their project ideas to life.
Before joining The Home Depot, Enrique earned his architecture degree and built more than a decade of experience in the field. He owned an architecture studio focused on residential and commercial projects and co-owned a business designing custom kitchens and installing countertops. After learning about an open Kitchen Designer role at his local store, Enrique saw an opportunity to leverage the creativity and design software skills he developed in the field.
From expert product knowledge to a deep understanding of the design and installation process, his trades background helps him build trust and guide customers through tough decisions. “As a Designer, my job is to make sure our customers have an easy and enjoyable remodel or renovation experience,” Enrique says. “That means I need to consider both their design choices and their budget and help them select the best options for their project.”
Enrique finds that there are a lot of similarities between his field experience and his work as a Kitchen Designer.
Approaching a kitchen design is the same creative process as a building, you transform ideas or problems into visual, functional solutions.

Working as a Kitchen Designer has helped Enrique continue growing his career from the jobsite to our aisles. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow, learn, and enhance my skills,” he shares. “Home Depot is a great place for me to achieve my professional goals, while also giving back to the community through design.”
The most rewarding part of his job? Seeing his customers react to the final result. He enjoys the satisfaction of finding solutions for his customers, but more than anything, Enrique loves to see how happy they are with their new spaces. “It’s the best part,” he admits. “And that’s why they keep coming back to Home Depot for their next project.”
