Position Purpose:
This role drives the strategy and launch of Hubspace’s smart camera program and builds strategic partnerships with national brands across multiple categories, delivering innovation and growth for the Hubspace platform. You will lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and market introduction of the smart camera program, guiding it from initial concept through to a successful launch both in-store and online.
In addition, you will establish and manage strategic partnerships with leading national brands to expand the Hubspace ecosystem across diverse product categories. These partnerships are essential to fostering innovation and driving growth for the platform.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including sourcing, engineering, brand marketing, and merchandising—is a key part of the role to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You will also monitor category performance, identify new growth opportunities, and continuously refine product strategies to keep pace with evolving customer needs and market trends.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven product development professional with a proven track record in bringing connected devices — particularly cameras — from concept to market. They excel at blending strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. This individual is equally comfortable analyzing market trends and consumer insights as they are building strong, collaborative relationships with national brands. Key Responsibilities:

Identify and qualify international vendors to the HD standards
-
Develop and purchase products
-
Develop materials to sell the products developed, i.e., packaging, P.K. materials, P.O.P., etc.

Understand impacts of products on sales and GMROI
-
Creating specifications for products including, packaging, safety and environmental issues
-
Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff
-
Understanding of supply chain domestic and international
-
Conduct presentations at product line reviews and marketing meetings
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
-
Typically reports to Sr. Director
-
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
Travel Requirements:
-
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
-
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

3–5 years of product development, merchandising, or category management experience in consumer electronics, connected devices, or smart home technology.

Proven ability to develop and launch new product categories from concept through market introduction, including go-to-market planning and performance analysis.

Experience in the camera category (security cameras, video doorbells, smart home surveillance) including hardware selection, feature prioritization, and competitive market positioning.

Experience managing relationships with national brands, including negotiating terms, driving joint marketing initiatives, and aligning product roadmaps.

Strong understanding of IoT ecosystems, smart home integrations, and emerging trends in connected devices.

Demonstrated ability to analyze market data and consumer insights to inform product strategy and category growth opportunities.

Excellent cross-functional leadership skills with a track record of collaborating across sourcing, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to meet launch timelines.
