Pro Department Supervisor

In 2007, Christy had just completed her real estate license and was looking for a stable, part-time opportunity while the markets fluctuated. “As a young parent, it was important for me to think about my family and my future,” Christy shares. So, she joined The Home Depot as a part-time Appliance Sales Specialist. “I chose Home Depot because of the benefits.”

Christy quickly realized that Home Depot was a place where she could build a long-term career because of our culture and development opportunities. She transitioned to a full-time role as a Pro Account Sales Associate (PASA). “When I started, I didn’t have much construction or home repair knowledge,” Christy admits. She leaned on her teammates and on-the-job training to learn about our products and the home improvement projects our customers were working on.

To continue building her knowledge and skills, Christy took on roles across multiple departments. She served as Department Supervisor for Paint, Millworks, Service Desk, Front End, Electrical, Flooring, and Plumbing.

As the Pro Department Supervisor, Christy leads programs to support and engage our Pro customers. She supports our Pros by:

• Using Pro Xtra loyalty solutions like trade credit and bulk pricing to meet their project needs
• Keeping the Pro Desk clean and ready to assist Pro customers with questions or transactions
• Coaching PASAs and Pro Sales Associates to help them provide excellent service with both complex, project-based sales and quick, in-store transactions

“My favorite part of the job is building relationships with Pro customers,” Christy shares. “I’ve been at my store for many years. I’ve seen how our services can help small businesses grow into a million-dollar businesses.” She’s proud of her team and their dedication to supporting their Pros. “It’s fulfilling to see my team take on large, complex orders and deliver exceptional service.”
